Why Music with Confidence?
Many primary teachers tell us:
- “I’m not musical.”
- “I don’t know where to start.”
- “I’d rather let someone else teach my class music.”
Music with Confidence changes that.
The problem isn’t that teachers don’t care about music. It’s that many have never been given the confidence to teach it.
Music with Confidence is a practical, inclusive CPD programme designed to help non-specialist primary teachers develop the confidence, knowledge and strategies they need to teach engaging music lessons, regardless of their musical background.
Through practical, joyful and inclusive training, teachers discover that they don’t need to be musicians to teach inspiring music lessons. They need confidence, simple strategies and permission to enjoy making music alongside their pupils.
Teachers gain…
- Confidence to teach music
- Practical activities that can be used immediately
- Strategies for inclusive music-making
- Simple approaches to singing, rhythm and composition
- Ready-to-use classroom resources
- A renewed enjoyment of teaching music
